프로오디오 스튜디오 모니터용 스피커로인「SM11」, 「SM8」는 . FOCAL의 트레이드 마크이기도 한 「리버스 돔트위터」를 장착한 제품으로 20년 이상에 트위터 개발을 통해 이뤄진 기술과 입력크기에 영향받지 않는 높은 출력과 정확하게 셰이프 된 성능을 가능하게 한 제품입니다. 또한 새로운 소재로서 항공기에도 사용되고 있는 하이테크 소재 「퓨어 베릴륨」을 사용하여 더욱 뛰어난 성능을 발휘하도록 제작되고 있습니다.

[“W”저음용 스피커 ＆ 미드레인지 콘]
코팅 된 샌드위치형의 콘은 15년 이상이나 계속되는 Focal만의 독점 기술입니다. 1995년에 릴리스 된 스피커, 그랜드 유토피아에 처음으로 도입된 “W" 프로세스는, 질량, 딱딱함, 덤핑이라고 하는 3 요소를 모두 갖춘 최고의 주파수 특성을 이끌어냈습니다.

다이렉트 디지탈 입력이 가능하도록 SM11에는 24 비트 96 kHz의 AD/DA 변환을 가능하게 한 최고의 디지탈 칩이 내장되고 있습니다.

[스위트 스포트]
전용의 프로세싱 알고리즘이, 청취자와 스피커의 위치에 맞추어 리스폰스를 조정해, 최적인 사운드 이미지를 만들어 냅니다.

[멀티 이퀄라이징 기능]
파워풀한 DSP와 세밀하게 디자인된 알고리즘. 그 콤비네이션은, 다중으로 정밀한 이퀄라이징을 가능하게 했습니다.

[리모트 콘트롤 기능]
Windows/ Mac 대응의 리모트 콘트롤 소프트웨어 "FocalManager" 와 무선 컨트롤을 가능하게 하는 PDA 콘트롤러. 스위트 스포트, EQ, 출력 레벨 등의 조정 을 가능하도록 하여 줍니다.

 
고성능인 파워업
[고효울의, 낮은 디스토션의 클래스 “D” 아웃풋 스테이지]
트라이앰프 구조(250 W Rms/LF, 150 W Rms/MF, 100 W Rms/HF)의 증폭 스테이지에서는 저 중역 채널에 일그러짐의 적은 클래스“D" 파워업을 채용. 고출력시의 온도 상승을 최대한 줄이고 있습니다. 또 트위터에는 밴드폭의 넓은 클래스 “AB" 앰프를 사용하고 있습니다.
